omission is reasonable if

it is the intention never

to have more than one manager;

but if the existence of more

than one manager is contemplated,

the duties of the deceased

manager would pass on his

death to the surviving manager,

or managers.

8. Section 17 (4) gives

power to renew, vary or revoke

an order of detention. If an

offender is sentenced to a

definite term of detention,

he should, I think, be released

at the end of that term,

unless during detention he has

comitted an offence for which

he can be given a further term,

and I should be glad, therefore,

if you would consider the desirability

of amending this Section.
